Just give up now

Every single year I send out Christmas cards to friends and family. I order them in October and address them by the beginning of November. I make sure to send out emails well in advance asking for addresses that I have lost or that I never had to begin with.

The cards are mailed out the day after Thanksgiving-the “official” beginning of the Christmas season as far as I am concerned. If I am not home to do it, Kenny sends them out for me.

I am noticing that more and more people are trying to compete with me! I have already received TWO cards! I also got an email from someone saying they were trying to beat me but received my card the other day!

Fools-just quit trying. I am the champion of Christmas cards. Don’t mess with the best.

LOL! I do everything early-- my cards have been ready for weeks, but I was waiting until mid-December to mail them. Now, I'm going to send them today. But, you still beat me :)

you don't have to worry about me being any sort of dangerous competition, my best intentions always turn into "barely" making the deadline :)
Thanks for the xmas card btw, yours was the first of the year at our house!

You suck! But now I know your secret. Next year I'm going to send mine out the week before Thanksgiving. Your going to have to send yours at Halloween. Just kidding. I really don't know what got into me this year. I've never sent my cards out so early. Next year I'll probably be back to my scroogy self. Did you get mine yet? Joe and I had fun getting that one ready.

Well I'm going in the opposite direction I guess. If I hurry I can get last years in the mail before this christmas. A couple of years back I started sending cards out and making sure that I sent one to everyone that sent me one. I expanded my list to include those that I had lost contact with over the years hoping to rekindle something. I even included a neighbor that I had had a property line dispute with. Evidently that worked because we are on better terms now. By the way I was correct even with primitive method of surveying that I used. Roger would be proud of me. But I digress.
Changes in our lives cause us do do things a little differently so I don't send out as many now or for the most part none. When I retired I though of all of the time that I would have to get things done. Guess what, doesn't happen so I was dissapointed in my expectations. I'll get back to it but in the mean time I try to stay in contact with everyone throughout the year so that they know that I still hold them in a special place in my heart.

P-Whatever.....did you ever think that the one you just got it for NEXT tear? So, really I am a whole year early! Beat that!

Uncle Steve!!!!!
Hello! I try to email you from work and it gets bounced back every single time-I have no clue why. I am so glad you stopped by!

I know, I know. It has become expected of me that people will get my card first and that they will even get a card from me to begin with. I like it, but it is going to be a lot to live up to for years to come! ;)

They may have blocked my e-mail address from your server. If you get them at home I would suspect that is the case.
