L's room

If you click on the link to the right, there are some pictures of L's room. My mom is refinishing a rocking chair for me and painting it bright pink. I figure that should be done around her 3rd birthday. No hurry, mom. You only offered to do it 6 months ago. Take your time.

For L's room

I just ordered these for a great shop I found on Etsy. They are for L's room, and this makes the room soooooo close to complete!

Another wall done

I just ordered these letters from Pottery Barn Kids. I did not order these specific letters though, just incase you were wondering. I am very excited about how it's going to look! The wall that I am going to put them on is pretty big, so this will take up the entire area. I was worried about what I could put there, so I am very excited I found these!

Paper doll wall art

I just ordered this from Urban Outfitters and I am so excited to get it! I think it is adorable and will look great in baby L's new room!

Check it off the list

I called Linds and asked her if she could go to Babies-R-Us with me to help me register. Kenny and I had such a horrible time the first go-round and I desperately needed a moms help. Or, so I thought I did. We showed up and ended up only adding about 5 more things! I guess Kenny and I aren’t as clueless as we thought we were-somewhat comforting. So, other than going back to Target to add a couple more items I forgot about, we are done registering! I know it’s a bit early, but I am too impatient to wait. So, another thing checked off the list!

Now, I just have to finish the room, which is not going well. I ordered a rug I am pretty sure I will hate, I found a dresser that’s a bit more than I wanted to spend (it’s on my registry actually), and I have yet to find artwork on www.Etsy.com that will work. Like the registry and picking a name, I just want it done.

Just the beginning

My cousin is super awesome and bought us our crib for the new room. She was awesome before, but you know what I mean. The dressers that are in the room we are going to use are antique, and so I wanted the crib to match. Then, when we were in Boulder I saw some really cute bedding-loved the brand. I went online when we got home and decided on this one. It's Litto Kids Magic Garden. A lot more modern then the furniture and the wall art I find will be modern as well. I really like to mix it up. I figured if it is a girl we can add pink, and if it is a boy (fingers crossed) we will bring in more blues and greens. Both are at the house and may or may not be out of their packaging.

Still happily married

Kenny sticking each tiny little square to the wall. I stopped just long enough to take this picture.
Do you think he would let me get away with not helping?

Done! Even the dogs are tired...

Well, I am happy to say that Kenny and I will not be getting a divorce after last night's project which, by the way, consumed 2 1/2 hours of our life. I never want to see another little tiny organic square decal again, but other than that we're good!Kenny only talked to me like I was 4 once. I rolled my eyes twice. He pushed me out of his way a few times, only to have me push back. The words, "Do you want me to just leave and you can do this yourself?" only left my lips one time. I almost destroyed about 4 columns of squares by making them all stick to eachother, but Kenny saved the day.

I was going to count every single square so I could say how many I touched. Yes, we had to rub EVERY SINGLE SQUARE off of the backing paper onto the wall.

UPDATE: Bought it here! By the way, this entire site is amazing! http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5226382

Divorce worthy?

I ordered a really cool wall decal for above our bed last week. It was delivered today. I am really excited to have it up, however I am a bit scared about putting it up. It is 8 1/2 feet wide and I would say there are about 1 bajillion little tiny squares to stick to the wall.

I may or may not be getting a divorce after this is said and done. I see yelling and bickering about whether or not it is straight and if the air bubbles are all out in the very near future.

I'll let you know.
